ABD’nin en sevilen ve en ünlü müzik elçilerinden biri olan soprano Demetra George MUSTAFAOĞLU, görkemli sesi, kusursuz sanatı ve etkileyici sahne varlığıyla izleyicileri büyülüyor.

ABD ve Avrupa’daki opera sahnelerini, konser salonlarını ve ABD Büyükelçiliklerini süslemeye devam ediyor. 2015 yılında ABD Dışişleri Bakanlığı, Demetra’yı ses yeteneklerini dünya topluluğuyla paylaştığı ve bu süreçte Amerikan kültürünü yaydığı için Kültür Elçisi olarak atadı.

Oklahoma, Miss Oklahoma’dan Miss America Pageant’a kadar Miss Teenage America Yetenek Birincisi, yetenek ve mayo kazananı, Batı Bölgesi San Francisco Operası kazananı, Metropolitan Opera Seçmeleri, Zachary ve Fuchs International yarışmalarında finalist oldu ve 2008’de Bakü’de 100 kişilik Azerbaycan Filarmoni Orkestrası ile ilk Amerikalı konuk performansı ayakta alkışlandı.
Oklahoma City Üniversitesi’nden doktora derecesine sahip olan Bayan George, bugüne kadar 750’den fazla orkestra ile sahne aldı ve 20’den fazla opera ve operet rolü ve 18’i müzikal tiyatroda rol alan bir repertuarıyla iftihar ediyor.

Ayrıca Beethoven Ninth Symphony, Handel’s Messiah ve Andrew Lloyd Webber Requiem’de yer aldı ve Amerika’da Palm Beach Pops ile bir senfoni konserinde Webber’i seslendiren ilk kadın oldu.

Ses stüdyosundan Broadway’e 16 öğrenciyi başrollere yerleştirdi.

Senfoniler ile Türkiye, Yunanistan, Meksika, Kıbrıs ve Azerbaycan’daki sahnelere ve konserlere de sık sık konuk olmuştur.

Demetra, dünyanın en büyük sarayı Topkapı’nın girişinin restorasyonu için İstanbul’da 5
milyon dolarlık bir Andrew Lloyd Webber Konseri sundu. 11 yıldır Kıbrıs’ta SOS, Rotary, Saraçoğlu Kanser, Lefkoşa Çocuk Yurdu, Özel İhtiyaç Sahibi Sanatçılar, Temiz Bir Kıbrıs, Özel İhtiyaçları Olan Çocuklar, Sınır Tanımayan Konserler, 20 Temmuz Şafak Nőbeti ve KKTC Milli Günü için yardım konserleri yaptı.

Demetra George Mustafaoğlu, known as “Demet” in Cyprus, is a versatile artist.  She is a master of voice, dance and stage plays, and her CD Love Arias was nominated for the Grammy Award, the most famous sound art award.  She is a Miss Teenage America and Miss Oklahoma, winner of San Francisco Opera competitions and a favorite performer of the New York City Opera touring group.
Demetra’s rich background includes various opera, Broadway and symphonic events.  She gave concerts with more than 750 symphonies in Europe and America, was the resident soprano of the Nevada Opera Theater and Palm Beach Opera, and gave concerts in the presence of four American presidents and the world’s leading political, social and spiritual leaders.  Her favorite opera roles are Mimi in La Boheme and Violetta in La Traviata, and Maria in West Side Story from Broadway and Eliza in My Fair Lady.  In addition to these, she sang the Turkish National Anthem, USA and Azerbaijan national anthems very emotionally at events and consulates in Cyprus, USA, Baku and Turkey.
Demetra, who is also active in our region, is the first American to give a concert with the Baku Philharmonic orchestra.  She gave a concert at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center in 2011 and entertained the distinguished guests at the Epos 7 event in the Four Seasons Bosphorus for the benefit of Topkapı Palace in 2012.  Again in 2012, she represented the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) at Türksoy concerts on the stage of Süreyya Opera, accompanied by the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Symphony.  In 2013 and to this day, Demetra started the music Concerts Without Borders and gave bi-communal concerts in Cyprus.  Demetra, the creator and star of the Ateş and Diva Show, presented this show, which is a mix of Broadway and Opera, to an invited audience both in Cyprus, in Pera Palas and in Kaş at the Antiphellos Antique Amphitheater.

In 2015, the US Department of State awarded her the Cultural Diplomacy Award for her efforts to improve understanding between peoples through her wonderful music concerts.
Demetra, who has a doctorate in music, is an artist who has appeared on international radio and television and has also shot films in recent years.  She has been active in the Turkish-American community in the USA and is the founder of the largest Turkish women’s union (Turkish American Ladies League) in the USA and the President Emeritűs.  In addition, she was one of the founders of Turkish American Artists Bridge, which aims to bring Turkish and American artists together.  She performed at the Turkish-American project Moon and Stars concert with Cem Duruőz on the stage of New York’s Merkin Hall.  The most prestigious Turkish magazine in the USA awarded her the “Turk of America” ​​award for her vocal ability.  Demetra is married to the Los Angeles Honorary Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and businessman Mehmet Mustafaoğlu, and they have two daughters, Devran and Deniz.  Demetra, who is a TRNC and US citizen, was given the title of “Honorary Turkish citizen” by the Los Angeles Consulate of the Republic of Turkey.
